Agatha Christie -Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa, Lady Mallowan, DBE was born on 15 September 1890 and died on 12 January 1976, commonly known as Agatha Christie, was an English crime fiction writer. Agatha also wrote romance novels under the name Mary Westmacott, but is best remembered for her 80 detective novels and her successful West End theatre plays. Agatha Christie is world famous for her brilliantly crafted mysteries. During the 1920s and 1930s, she created the enduring detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. The details of Christie’s personal life, however, have rarely been documented.
