Eric Richard was born on 27 June 1940. Eric Richard is perhaps best known for his role as Sergeant Bob Cryer in the long running ITV drama The Bill although his television work has also included Home Sweet Home, Made in Britain, Open All Hours, Games Without Frontiers, P'Tang Yang Kipperbang, Shoestring, and Holby City.

Richard Strauss was born on 11 June, 1864 and died on 8 September, 1949. Richard Strauss was a German composer of the late Romantic era and early modern era, particularly noted for his tone poems and operas. Richard was also a noted conductor. In 1882 he entered Munich University, where he studied philosophy and art history, but not music. Nevertheless, Richard left a year later to go to Berlin, where he studied briefly before securing a post as assistant conductor to Hans von Bülow, taking over from him at Munich when von Bülow resigned in 1885. Richard's compositions around this time were quite conservative, in the style of Robert Schumann or Felix Mendelssohn, true to his father's teachings. Richard's Horn Concerto No. 1 (1882–1883) is representative of this period and is still regularly played.
Richard Burton was born on 10 November, 1925 and died on 5 August, 1984. Being at one time the highest paid Hollywood actor, Richard was well known for his distinctive voice. Richard was crippled all his life by epilepsy and was extremely deep into alcoholism to try and prevent the seizures. Eventually this led him to manic depression but he would never go to see a doctor because he did not trust them one bit. At times he seemed to be more scared of being crazy then having epilepsy. Throughout his entire life he had never went to get diagnosed by a doctor.

Around 1978, Dreyfuss began to use cocaine frequently; his addiction came to a head four years later, when he was arrested for possession of the drug at the scene of a collision. He suffers from bipolar disorder. In 2006, he appeared in Stephen Fry's documentary, Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive, in which Fry (who also has the disorder) interviewed him about his life with manic-depression.
